Liturgical Ministries
These ministries assist with facilitating aspects of the celebration of the Mass.
Altar Servers
The ministry of altar servers in the Catholic Church is a service of assisting the priest and deacon at the altar during the liturgy, helping to foster reverence and devotion in the celebration of the sacred mysteries.
Sacristan
The sacristan prepares the sacred vessels, vestments, and other liturgical items before Mass, ensuring that all is ready for the reverent celebration of the Eucharist.
Lectors
Lectors proclaim the Word of God at Mass, allowing the Scriptures to come alive and be heard by the assembly with faith and clarity.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion assist the priest and deacon in distributing the Body and Blood of Christ to the faithful at Mass and, when needed, bring Communion to the sick and homebound.
Usher/Hospitality Ministry
The usher and hospitality ministry welcomes parishioners and visitors, assists with seating and collections, and helps create a spirit of warmth and community within the liturgy. They also assist Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion with identifying persons who requrie pew-bound communion.
Music/Choir
The music ministry leads the assembly in sung prayer, enriching the liturgy and helping the faithful lift their hearts to God in worship.
Environment Ministry
The environment ministry enhances the sacredness of the liturgy by preparing and maintaining the worship space with appropriate décor that reflects the liturgical seasons and feasts.
Liturgical Linen Service
The liturgical linen service cares for and reverently maintains the altar cloths, purificators, corporals, and other linens used in the celebration of the Eucharist.
Faith Formation Ministries
These ministries assist in the ongoing Catechesis of the Church, or the teaching of our Faith.
Break Open The Word
Our parish hosts a weekly Scripture Sharing Session for catechumens in the OCIA process in the Rectory Dining Room (across from the Parish Office).
The Scripture Sharing Session is also referred to as "Breaking Open the Word" (BOW) and focuses on the Sunday's Gospel reading.
The BOW is also open to inquirers and parishioners who wish to find out more about he Church and the life of faith.
Original Order of Christian Initiation for Adults
By instruction and in fellowship, participants in the OCIA process learn who God is and how to follow him as a member of the Christian Community.

Catechists
The catechist ministry in the Catholic Church shares and teaches the faith, guiding others—especially children and those preparing for the sacraments—to know, love, and follow Christ.
Spiritual Enrichment Ministries
These ministries provide opportunities for pious devotions to be practiced in common (with others) as well as for Christian fellowship.
Legion Of Mary
The Legion of Mary is a lay apostolic ministry in the Catholic Church dedicated to prayer, evangelization, and service, carried out under the spiritual guidance of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Parish External Outreach Ministries
These ministries provide opportunities to bring Christ out into the world and practice corporal works of Mercy.
Ministry at Arcadia
Arcadia is a living facility that provides care for seniors or kupuna. Ministry at Arcadia involves providing outreach to the faithful in that facility, primarily through administering the Eucharist and other corporal works of mercy.
Food Delivery Ministry
We support the delivery of perishable food donations to the St. Pius X community every third weekend of the month.
Homebound Ministry
The Homebound Ministry at Sacred Heart Church brings the presence of Christ to parishioners who cannot attend Mass by visiting them in their homes or care facilities, offering prayer, companionship, and the Eucharist.

These ministries provide opportunities to assist in the internal affairs of the parish
Bereavement Ministry
The Bereavement Ministry offers prayerful support, compassion, and accompaniment to individuals and families grieving the loss of a loved one.
Communications Ministry
The Communications Ministry shares parish news, events, and messages through various media to keep the community informed, connected, and engaged in the life of the Church.
Youth and Young Adult Ministry
The Youth and Young Adult Ministry nurtures the faith of young people through prayer, fellowship, formation, and service, helping them grow as active disciples of Christ in the Church and the world.

Knights Of Columbus
The Knights of Columbus is a fraternal service ministry of Catholic men dedicated to charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism, supporting the Church and serving those in need.
Administrative and Advisory Groups
Parish Pastoral Council
The parish pastoral council brings together lay people and religious who, together with the pastor, work jointly to building the parish as a living Christian community. Through prayer and reflection, faith sharing, planning, animation, and action, the parish pastoral council is the place where ministries or services are brought forth that are needed for the growth of a living parish community.

Finance Council
The Finance council is a consultative body which provides the pastor with advice concerning the stewardship of parish fiscal resources. It assists the pastor wih financial planning, analysis, budgeting, etc. Membership of the Finance Council is selected by the pastor.

Liturgy Committee
This committee meets regularly to prepare for the different themes for each Liturgical Season.

Caring for the facilities used for worship, mission activities, and fellowship. Routine maintenance of the buildings' interior and exterior, and campus landscaping.
