About Bachelot Hall
Originally dedicated in June 1923, Bachelot Memorial Hall is named after Father Alexis Bachelot, one of the pioneering Catholic missionaries to Hawaiʻi.
In recognition of its cultural and architectural significance, Bachelot Memorial Hall was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2001. The recent renovation, which began in February 2023, is the latest chapter in the building’s storied 101-year history.
A cornerstone of Maryknoll School’s campus since its inception, the building has served multiple purposes – from a gathering space for parishioners to a hub for various school activities – making it an integral part of both the school’s and the community’s history.
In the above Youtube video, the local TV lifestyle program HINowDaily visited Bachelot Hall upon the completion of its recent renovation.
Host Rachel Pacarro interviewed Maryknoll School President Shana Tong and then pastor, Father EJ Resinto.
